One of the most popular days of the year at Big White is on the horizon.

Sunday is Australia Day and, as always, it’ll be celebrated with plenty of festivities on the mountain.

Whether you’re dressing up in costume, stripping down to your undies and joining in on the fun in your regular ski gear, you should meet at the top of the Kangaroo run at 11 am.

There, a group photo will be taken and everyone will ski or snowboard the run alongside Boomer the Kangaroo.

Also starting at 11 am is a Sausage Sizzle at The Woods, where you can fuel up with a snag in bread for just $5.

Finally, if you miss your chance to ski with Boomer at 11 am, you’ll have another chance to have some fun with him at the Happy Valley Tube Park at 4 pm.

“Don’t forget to show us your Aussie spirit,” says the Big White website.

“Come decked out in your best Australian gear and you might even score yourself a couple of Tim Tams!”

There will also be some other Australia Day parties at various venues on the mountain, so keep your ear to the ground.
