Visibility is perfect and the sky is clear over at Big White today.

The mountain received a small top-up of snow – 2 cm – over the last 24 hours and has a base of 57 cm.

Winds are calm and the current temperature is –6ºC.

There are 14 runs and three lifts open.

"A friendly reminder it is early season conditions on the mountain,” the resort explained in its snow report this morning.

“Please stay on the groomed runs and adhere to all on-mountain signage.”

Big White also sought to remind visitors that there are still 14 days left of the Walk, Dine and Wine Tour.

It explained: “If you fancy a taste of local made wines paired with a delectable creation from our talented chefs, then this event is for you.

“Have a fun filled night with loved ones or friends in 3 of Big White’s finest eateries whilst being able to explore our beautiful mountain village on this self-guided tour. Click here for more information or to book your tour today.”

Meanwhile, the Happy Valley team is “working extremely hard” to open Canada’s highest skating rink, the resort said.
