A common item in the average kitchen has been recalled.
Robin Hood all purpose flour has been recalled by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) due to E. coli.

“Smucker Foods of Canada Corp. is recalling Robin Hood brand All Purpose Flour, Original from the marketplace due to possible E. coli O121 contamination,” says the recall on the CFIA website. “Consumers should not consume the recalled product.”
The recall is specifically for 10 kg bags of the flour with a best before date of April 17th, 2018.
The UPC code on the bag should read 0 59000 01652 8.
There has only been one reported illness associated with the consumption of the product, which triggered the CFIA’s investigation into the foodborne illness outbreak.
The CFIA is currently conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.
“Food contaminated with E. cole 0121 may not look or smell spoiled, but can still make you sick,” says the CFIA recall. “Symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, mild to severe abdominal cramps and watery to bloody diarrhea.”
In severe cases, some people may suffer seizures or strokes, permanent kidney damage or in the most serious cases, death.
