A large West Kelowna hotel has quietly undergone a rebrand.

As of May 25, the Best Western Plus Wine Country Hotel & Suites is now the Fairfield Inn & Suites West Kelowna, marking a transfer from the BWH Hotels umbrella to the Marriott brand.

“We look forward to providing a completely renovated facility to go along with our team’s great service for anyone visiting the area for work or play,” said a statement from Marriott.

The newly-branded hotel has added an indoor kids splash pad, expanded 24-hour fitness room facilities, two new meeting rooms and a second floor outdoor patio to the hotel on Carrington Road near Two Eagles Golf Course.

Guests staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites West Kelowna will continue to get complimentary breakfast and use of the always-popular pool, waterslide and hot tub.

While under the Marriott umbrella, the hotel will continue to be owned by the Braemar Group, a local family-run company, and operated by the management company Hotel Equities.
