Golf, lunch and an awards banquet make up the trifecta of Greater Westside Board of Trade's return to live events.

For the past 16 months, events have had to be virtual because of the COVID pandemic.

But, with restrictions on gatherings easing, the board of trade has planned a trio of affairs.

The first is the Tail Gate on the Tees golf tournament and dinner at Sunset Ranch Golf & Country Club on Aug. 27.

Tickets are $175 at GWBoardOfTrade.com.

The second will be the announcement of the finalists for the 20th annual Key Business Awards at a lunch at Kelly O'Bryan's restaurant on the Westside on Sept. 23.

Then the awards banquet to hand out the trophies is Oct. 28 at Shannon Lake Golf Club.

Tickets aren't on sale yet for those two events.

But when they do go on sale they'll be at GWBoardOfTrade.com.

Meantime, at the same website, you can nominate deserving businesses in 13 categories for the Key Business Awards.

They are:

 - business of the year

 - small business of the year

 - large business of the year

 - young entrepreneur of the year

 - hospitality and tourism

 - technology and innovation

 - home-based business

 - community and public service

 - new business

 - Indigenous business

 - platinum service provide

 - environmentally sustainable business

 - arts and entertainment

Last year, when the awards were virtual, A View to Remember Bed & Breakfast won both business of the year and environmentally sustainable business of the year.
