Over the next 12 weeks, the dynamic duo of Linda Edgecombe and Beth Hanishewski will travel throughout the Okanagan to interview local wineries, craft breweries, and distilleries (and do some sampling).

The purpose of this podcast is to take the pulse of local businesses as the economy begins to reopen and to see how they are doing.

Although we're known for our wine-drinking palates, we looooove a good story.

So in this episode we grabbed our husbands and headed over to Rustic Reel to meet Susi Foerg, a creative and intelligent woman that single-handedly built Kelowna's newest brewing company: Rustic Reel.

Rustic Reel opened August 1, 2019. So believe us when we say, her true grit in the face of adversity (*cough COVID cough*) and dedication to this local brewing company is amazing.

Her beers received the stamp of approval from our beer-loving significant others and we actually enjoyed more than one bubbly. Best of all, everything we sampled was brewed by Susi herself. BRAVO!

So what is Rustic Reel?

In a nutshell, it's craft beer, fishing, and community. Simple, creative, and real.

They currently have the following on tap: Blonde Ale, Amber Ale, Hazy IPA, Imperial Sweet Potato Nut Brown Ale, Radler, in-house made Root Beer, and Black Currant Sour from Copper Brewing.

They're designed not to bloat or upset gluten-sensitive stomachs...Susi, you had me at fishing.
