Over the next 12 weeks, the dynamic duo of Linda Edgecombe and Beth Hanishewski will travel throughout the Okanagan to interview local wineries, craft breweries, and distilleries (and do some sampling).

The purpose of this podcast is to take the pulse of local businesses as the economy begins to reopen and to see how they are doing.

"In its most romantic sense, wine is an expression of a time and a place. Through wine, you can taste the land and connect with the place that it came from."

This was a phenomenal interview.

We sat down with Ryan Widdup from Indigenous World Winery to learn more about wines and indigenous culture than we ever have before! It was truly mesmerizing and humbling. There's something to be said about smaller production wineries with lots of smaller boutique wines…you never know what you might find (or taste). We also learned that Chardonnay is the ultimate expression of a winemaker.

Indigenous World Winery has been open for 4 years and they've received 150 National and International Awards on their wines and spirits!

This includes their flagship wine, Simo, which we had the pleasure of sampling. Best of all, they also have vodka, gin (to Beth's delight) and whiskey is on the way.

If you're thinking of becoming a Sneena Wine Club member there's no fee to join.

You simply pick it and they'll ship it. Best of all, the selections change all the time which gives you lots of variety to choose from.

Be kind and support local businesses. Here's to drinking the stars!
