What will be Kelowna's tallest office tower has reached another milestone.

On Thursday, crews successfully completed the final pour for the future parkade of the Landmark 7 building.

The seven-story parkade will be completely integrated into the 23-storey Class A office tower that will be the tallest building of its kind between Vancouver and Calgary.

Upon completion in 2022, the building will provide 225,000 square feet of commercial space along with a broad range of amenities, including restaurants, conference rooms and a fitness facility.

“While there is likely to be some pull-back in overall office demand as more people work from home, leading technology companies are trying to figure out not so much what they should do with their offices, but how their offices can help them find and keep talent. We believe Kelowna is the kind of community that can attract leading companies,” said Dave McAnerney, the chief operating officer of Stober Group.

Rogers Communications recently opened new offices in the Landmark District creating over 350 jobs, while long time Landmark 5 tenant QHR Technologies has grown to over 400 employees.
