Valley First credit union unveiled their new building design in a grand opening of their new space at the Innovation Centre.

The layout brings a modern flair to architectural design, and creates an open space that allows for a new way to facilitate workplace operations.

Inside, one is greeted with large rooms, inventive technology, an array of plants and beautiful art pieces that create a feeling equal to being welcomed home from a long day’s work.

Susan Ewanick, president of Valley First, noted that the workplace was a reflection of the Valley First culture, “which is about agility, innovation, disruption and certainly working in a very collaborative manner.”

The new floor layout does not designate office spaces but instead allows works in a “hotelling” manner that encourages collaboration among peers.

“It’s really about having the ability to be apart of the fabric of the building,” said Ewanick. “If you think about employee engagement and wellness and mindfulness it’s a very productive and collaborative space.”

Valley First’s magnificent new space is located inside the Innovation Centre at 460 Doyle Ave across from the Okanagan Military Museum.
