The Garage Sale Luxury Auction House will be hosting a unique event as it looks to auction off an orchard estate in East Kelowna.
On Sept. 22, 2016, the auction of the Okanagan’s Harvest Ridge Estate will take place with no minimum bid and no reserve price. The property boasts 5,900 sq. ft., five bedrooms and five bathrooms and comes complete with an outdoor pool, tennis court, four-car garage and a sprawling orchard made up of 35-acres of cherry, apple and pear trees.
The estate had been on the market for 10 months and in early summer, the owners decided to approach The Garage Sale to market and auction the property. The assets are valued over $5 million and as a result, qualify for the Elite Auction Model.
Registered bidders have the opportunity to stay on-site at Harvest Ridge Estate in the hospitality of a personal chef and hostess.
“These Live-in Viewings allow qualified buyers to relax in a private setting and focus on one thing – carefully considering their purchase decision,” said the auction house in a statement.
The exclusive service provides occupancy for up to eight guests and a four-night maximum stay from now until Sept. 15. Hosted viewings of the estate are available by appointment until Sept. 21.
The orchard was built from the ground up and has more than 8,200 well-grown mature trees that are 12 to 40-years-old. The 35-acre farm is zoned under the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR), the land was purchased in 2003 and the home built in 2004.
The home features art deco inspired architectural features with vaulted ceilings, granite floors and floor-to-ceiling windows. Amenities include a 54 ft. outdoor pool, infrared sauna, a 5,000 sq. ft. detached workshop, oversized four-car garage, billiards room , temperature controlled wine cellar and nanny/in-law suite.
The property is located 15 minutes from downtown Kelowna and 10 minutes from the lake and is next door to the Harvest Golf Course.
