1. Billionaire David Koch dead at 79
Billionaire businessman, philanthropist and conservative activist David Koch has died at the age of 79. His brother released a statement today to confirm the news. Koch used more than $1 billion of his estimated $50-billion fortune to contribute to philanthropic causes including a $15-million donation to the Smithsonian and spending $100 million to create a cancer research centre.

2. Brazil president not impressed with Emmanuel Macron
With the Amazon rainforest on fire, French president Emmanuel Macron took to Twitter to call it an international crisis and urge G7 leaders to help. Jair Bolsonaro, president of Brazil, claimed that Macron was using the fires for “personal political gain” and had a sensationalist tone about the issue.

3. Blue Jays fans ready to take over T-Mobile Park
Sadly, it’s not named Safeco Field anymore, but that won’t stop Toronto Blue Jays fans from taking it over this weekend. The annual series between the Jays and Seattle Mariners at the newly named T-Mobile Park begins tonight. Thousands of Jays fans will be in attendance for the three game series.

4. Lightning strike at popular hiking destination kills 5 in Poland
A massive thunderstorm in Poland’s Tatra Mountains left five people dead, including two children, and more than 100 injured. According to witnesses, the thunderstorm came out of nowhere on a day that began with clear weather. The storm rattles on camera that captured the lightning strike and it’s almost hard to believe how loud the thunder is.

5. Bob Odenkirk says Breaking Bad movie has already been filmed
There’s no shortage of excitement for a Breaking Bad movie and it could be arriving sooner than many people think. Bob Odenkirk, who plays Saul on Better Call Saul, says the film has already been shot and that he “can’t wait to see it.”
