1. Canada issues travel warning for China

The Canadian government is warning against traveling to China following the recent detainment of multiple Canadians and a death penalty sentance handed down to a man from B.C. for alleged drug smuggling. Canada is advising citizens to "exercise a high degree of caution in China due to the risk of arbitrary enforcement of local laws." In response, China issued a travel advisory for Canada.

2. A 3.7 magnitude earthquake rattles Oakland

A small earthquake rattled the Bay Area in California early Wednesday morning. The 3.7 quake was felt by many residents but no damages or injuries were reported.

3. Drone footage captures unusual spinning ice disk

Footage shows a large spinning disk in the Presumpscot River in the state of Maine in the US. Scientists say the formation of the disk is completely natural as residents flocked to catch a sight of it.

4. Jake Gyllenhall makes debut as Mysterio 

Marvel fans got their first on-screen look at Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio in the new Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer. The general consensus was that Gyllenall looks pretty good as the iconic villain. Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theatres on March 8th. 

5. Theresa May's government faces a no-confidence vote

British MPs are set to consider a motion of no confidence in Theresa May’s government after the heaviest defeat a UK prime minister has suffered in modern times over May's Brexit deal.
