1. France beat Croatia to win the World Cup

Fans are likely still celebrating on the streets of Paris after their National soccer team won the World Cup on Sunday. The French team beat Croatia 4-2 in a game full of goals, offensive chances and some controversy. France last won the world cup in 1994.

2. Donald Trump meets with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Finland

U.S. President Donald Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin during a historic summit held in Helsinki on Monday. The two world leaders are scheduled to discuss trade, nuclear capabilities and the US- Russia relationship. When recently asked if Russia and America are enemies, Trump was quoted saying "I say we’re competitors."

3. Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen returns with Who is America?

Controversial comedian Sacha Baron Cohen has returned with a new Showtime series. In his new show titled Who is America? Cohen pranks prominent US lawmakers and political figures such as Bernie Sanders and Sarah Palin. 

4. Kensington Palace releases the first official photograph from the christening of Prince Louis

Kensington Palace has released one more official photograph from the christening of Prince Louis, the third child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Newlyweds the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were also present when the family, including Louis' parents and grandparents, gathered together in Clarence House for a private afternoon ceremony last Monday.

5. Blue Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman says his words were taken out of context

Some Blue Jays fans were taken aback on Sunday when starting pitcher Marcus Stroman reportedly called his team  “f—ing awful” and “f—ing terrible” after a reporter allegedly asked him an “irrelevant” question about his early career with the Class-A Vancouver Canadians. Stroman reportedly refused to answer the original question and walked away before turning around to yell at the reporter. He has since addressed the situation.
