2. Chinese president visits Hong Kong for 25th anniversary of handover
Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in Hong Kong to mark the 25th anniversary of the former British colony's transfer to China. He said Hong Kong has "risen from the ashes," but many in the territory fear the Communist Party's increasingly authoritarian rule.

3. Suspected driver of Texas migrant truck charged with human trafficking
The suspected driver of a truck in which 53 people were found dead in the US has been charged with people trafficking. Texas police said Homero Zamorano was found posing as a migrant in a bush near the vehicle.

4. Former F1 boss condemned for comments
The former chief executive of Formula 1 has sparked a row by saying he would "take a bullet "for Vladimir Putin. Formula 1 said Bernie Ecclestone's remarks are in "stark contrast" to "modern values."

5. Amazon blocks LGBT search terms
US retail giant Amazon has restricted LGBT-related search terms in the United Arab Emirates, a country that criminalizes the support of gay rights. The company said it remains committed to "diversity, equity and inclusion" but cannot breach the laws of foreign countries.
