1. Canada Post advises customers of prolonged delivery delays

Canada Post's largest union has rejected the mail carrier's proposal of a "cooling off" period followed by mediation that would have brought an end to all strike activity until January. As a result, Canada Post has officially announced that they can't honour any of their regular delivery times this year. 

2. Trump won't be able to refuse asylum to immigrants

A federal judge has barred the Trump administration from refusing asylum to immigrants who cross the southern border illegally. Trump originally issued a proclamation on Nov. 9 that said anyone who crossed the southern border illegally would be ineligible for asylum. On Monday, around 3,000 people from the first of the caravans have arrived in Tijuana, Mexico, across the border from San Diego.

3. Two of NFL's best teams deliver a classic on Monday Night Football

The Los Angeles Rams managed to outlast the Kansas City Chiefs in a record-setting game on Monday Night Football. A record-setting 105 points were put up by the two high flying offenses in a game that came down to the final minute. The game featured six different lead changes with Rams quarterback and Jared Goff and Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes showing why they're two of the best in the game. 

4. Shooting in Chicago hospital leaves three dead

A gunman shot and killed Dr. Tamara O'Neal at Mercy Hospital in Chicago. He then entered the hospital lobby and continued to fire, killing Dayna Less, a 25-year-old pharmacy assistant, and one of the responding officers, Officer Samuel Jimenez.

5. Rapper 6ix9ine arrested on charges that could carry a life sentence 

Daniel Hernandez, known professionally as 6ix9ine or Tekashi69, was arrested on weapons and racketeering charges. According to the state attorney's office and court documents, Hernandez was allegedly involved in an organized crime ring accused of assault, shootings, robbery and drug trafficking.
