2. Evidence of first extragalactic planet found
Astronomers have said they have found evidence of the first planet outside our galaxy. The planet is in the Messier 51 galaxy.

4. Chappelle offers to meet critics amid row
American comic Dave Chappelle has said he is happy to meet with transgender people after a mostly online backlash against his latest Netflix show. A small group of people protested outside of the media giant's LA headquarters last week, demanding Chappelle's show be taken offline.

5. Facebook posts $9B profits amid controversies
Controversial media giant Facebook has posted profits of US$9 billion for the third quarter. It comes amid a regular stream of criticism directed at the company, most recently regarding the safety of children who use its products.
