A South Dakota man has been identified as the great-grandson of 19th century Lakota leader Sitting Bull. Ernie LaPointe, 73, was identified using hair from Sitting Bull.

2. Squid Game costumes banned at New York schools
Three schools in New York State have banned Squid Game-inspired Halloween costumes. The schools said they feared the costumes could glorify violence.

3. China restricts 'super' tall buildings
China's smaller cities have been banned from building "super" tall buildings. The Communist state also banned "ugly" architecture last year.

4. Hundreds of turtles found dead in Mexico
Hundreds of sea turtles have been found dead on Mexico's west coast. The olive ridley turtles are thought to have drowned.

5. China's missile test 'very concerning'
US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley has said China's recent suspected hypersonic missile test was "very concerning." The technology is thought to be capable of evading American defence systems.
