1. Millions of chickens and turkeys have died in Florence flooding

As the human death toll continues to rise, the amount of livestock lost in Hurricane Florence’s flooding is flying under the radar. More than three million chickens and turkeys have been killed in the severe flooding that’s hit North Carolina. Around 5,500 hogs have also been lost as farm buildings ended up underwater.


2. Giant bundles of cannabis are washing up on Florida beaches

Sticking with Hurricane Florence, there are huge bundles of cannabis washing up on a number of Florida beaches after the storm. It’s led swimmers to fight over them, but it’s an interesting fight to be in since police are attempting to arrest anyone who tries to take the cannabis. Over 100 pounds of this ‘seaweed’ has already been recovered.


3. Pettersson shines in Canucks pre-season debut

The Vancouver Canucks may have lost 4-2 to the Edmonton Oilers in their first pre-season game on Tuesday, but that didn’t matter. All eyes were on 19-year-old Elias Pettersson, the team’s top prospect, who made his Canucks debut. Pettersson picked up one assist and seriously impressed fans with his skill, including a deke that may have broken Ryan Strome’s ankles.


4. Justin Bieber serenades Hailey Baldwin outside Buckingham Palace

Tourists who were checking out Buckingham Palace on Tuesday got a lot more than they bargained for, courtesy of Justin Bieber. The Canadian pulled up in a black SUV, jumped out and started serenading his fiancé, Hailey Baldwin, in front of one of the fountains. Although it was aimed towards Baldwin, a number of lucky fans got a free acoustic show from the pop star in the process.


5. Sony announces retro PlayStation Classic

PlayStation has won over the hearts of many with its latest announcement. The company is releasing the PlayStation Classic, which will come out in December. The mini-console comes pre-loaded with 20 generation-defining games, two classic controllers and an HDMI output. It’ll surely be a popular Christmas gift this year.
