2. Over a dozen killed after gunman opens fire at school in Russia
Over a dozen people have been killed and more than 20 injured after a gunman opened fire at a Russian school. Vladimir Putin's spokesman said the president is "mourning" after the massacre.

3. Rihanna to headline Super Bowl half-time show

4. Pound falls to record low against US dollar
Pound sterling fell to a record low against the US dollar earlier today as world markets continued to react negatively to a tax-cutting budget announced by the British government on Friday. The currency briefly fell to $1.03, down from $1.40 in May and over $2 back in 2007.

In lighter news, one of NASA's probes is set to crash into an asteroid. The mission – known as Dart – is designed to see how hard it would be to stop a large rock from hitting Earth.
