1. 'Unprecedented' damage to Russia-Europe undersea pipelines

An investigation is underway after three leaks were identified on two gas pipelines between Russia and Europe. The operator of one of the undersea pipelines – Nord Stream 1 – said there had been "unprecedented" damage. 

2. King Charles reveals cypher

King Charles has revealed his cypher, the logo representing his reign. The monogram, which was personally selected by the sovereign, combines a "C" and an "R" – standing for "King Charles" in Latin.

3. Children removed from religious sect's compound in Mexico

Children and teenagers have been removed from a jungle compound in Mexico after a raid by police on a Jewish religious sect. The Lev Tahor group has been accused of trafficking minors.

4. At least 76 killed amid Iran unrest, activists say

At least 76 people have been killed by security forces in Iran amid protests in the city, activists have claimed. The country is said to be experiencing major unrest following the death of a woman in police custody.

5. iPhone production being shifted to India, Apple says

Apple has said it has started to manufacture the iPhone 14 in India as part of its efforts to move its supply chains out of China. The US corporation still makes most of its phones in China, however.

And lastly...

In happier news, NASA successfully smashed a probe into an asteroid on Monday. The space agency said the mission was designed to test whether it would be possible to divert an asteroid away from Earth in the event of an emergency.
