This week, the two youngest rescued sea otter living at the Vancouver Aquarium, Hardy and Rialto, have met for the first time, and it will probably be the most adorable thing you’ll see all day.
Rialto, who is now 16 months old, was found starving on a Washington beach in August of last year as a three-week-old pup. When the Seattle Aquarium didn’t have the space to house him, he was taken in by the Vancouver Aquarium.

Hardy, now five months old, is the newest addition to the aquarium, having been taken in back in June of this year after the young otter pup was found swimming alone in open water off of Vancouver Island.
Hardy already met his adopted mom, a 13-year-old rescued female sea otter named Tanu, and the two got along swimmingly.
