1 person sent to hospital with serious injuries following stabbing in the Interior

Police in Quesnel are investigating following an alleged assault that sent a person to the hospital. 

According to RCMP, on Wednesday at 5:34 pm, officers were called to assist paramedics in helping a person in need of "urgent medical attention." 

Upon arrival, police learned that the man was walking along the 400 Block of Reid Street when he was confronted and stabbed by an unknown assailant. The victim had serious but not life-threatening injuries. 

"This could have ended much differently and we ask that anyone who may have been in the area during this time, to contact the police," said Sgt Richard Weseen.
