BC RCMP Major Crime Unit investigating homicide in BC Interior

The RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit is investigating a death in Lytton that they have deemed a suspicious death.

On Feb. 19, 2022, RCMP officers from the Lytton/Lillooet RCMP detachment received a report after a woman’s body was found in a Lytton home.

Through the investigation, the woman’s unexpected death has been determined to be a homicide. 

The Southeast District Major Crime Unit will now be taking over the investigation of this incident.

In a news release, the BC RCMP spokesperson explains that this tragic incident appears to be isolated and there is no perceived danger to the public.

The woman will not be identified at this time and no further information has been released.
