COVID-19 exposures reported at numerous Interior schools

Interior Health is warning the public about the latest batch of COVID-19 exposures at regional schools. 

According to IH, three more Kamloops-area schools and one in Williams Lake had members of the community test positive for Coronavirus. IH did not mention whether the affected individuals were staff members or students. 

School District 27 saw a confirmed case of the virus at Skyline Alternate on Feb. 26. In SD73, Brocklehurst Middle School had an exposure on March 1 and 2. 

Independent school experiencing cases included the Sk'elep School of Excellence, which saw potential exposures on Feb. 23, 24, 25, 26 and March 1, as well as Kamloops Christian School who had a positive test on March 1. 

All affected individuals are self-isolating and contact tracing has begun. Residents who visited these schools are encouraged to monitor for symptoms.
