A pair of BC residents are celebrating a multi-thousand dollar scratch ticket win.

Louie Rezansoff thought he was seeing things after he learned he and Tamara Amyotte had won $100,000 on a 88 Fortunes scratch ticket.

Rezansoff said it was a spur-of-the-moment purchase during an ordinary trip to a gas station.

“We just won $100,000,” Amyotte shouted after discovering they won. “Oh my goodness!”

Amyotte couldn’t wait to share the excellent news with a family friend.

“She asked if I was joking and told me not to joke about that,” recalled Amyotte.

Meanwhile, Rezansoff was speechless for a moment before he realized he was a lucky winner.

“I must be seeing things,” he finally exclaimed.

The pair purchased the ticket at a Super Save gas station on Victoria Street in Prince George.

As for the winnings, both are looking forward to helping out their friends and family.

Rezansoff will be using his share to put a down payment on a house while Amyotte is planning on purchasing some new furniture.

“This win means a lot to me. It will change my life considerably,” Amyotte said.
