Interior Health reports 105 new COVID-19 cases

Another 105 cases of COVID-19 were identified in the BC Interior over the past 24 hours.

It brings the region to 9,771 total cases since the start of the pandemic, with 944 currently active.

There are 22 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in the BC Interior and nine of them are in critical care.

With no new deaths since Wednesday’s update, Interior Health’s pandemic death toll remains at 120.
 

Once again, the health authority posted record daily vaccination numbers, with nearly 10,000 receiving their first poke over the last 24 hours.

That means 167,897 BC Interior residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, which represents around 22% of the total population.
