Interior Health reports 57 new cases of COVID-19, no deaths in a week

Another 57 cases of COVID-19 were identified in the BC Interior over the past 24 hours.

It brings the region to 11,197 total cases since the start of the pandemic, with 546 currently active.

There are 30 people in Interior Health hospitals with COVID-19 right now and 16 of them are in critical care.

It’s been a full week since the last death due to the virus in the BC Interior, as IH’s pandemic death toll remains at 131.

Since Tuesday, 6,267 more BC Interior residents were vaccinated and there are now over 300,000 people in the region who have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
