Interior Health reports 91 new COVID-19 cases, 1 additional death

Another 91 cases of COVID-19 were identified in the BC Interior over the past 24 hours.

It brings the region over 9,000 total cases since the start of the pandemic, 9,083 to be exact, with 717 currently active.

There are 21 people in Interior Health hospitals with the virus right now and eight of them are in critical care.
 

Unfortunately, there was one more death due to COVID-19 in the BC Interior since Tuesday, bringing IH’s pandemic death toll up to 117.

The health authority vaccinated another 5,771 people over the past 24 hours and there are now 121,995 people who have received at least one dose of the vaccine through IH.

After the outbreak in unit 5B of Kelowna General Hospital was declared over today, there are now three active outbreaks in the region, which IH provided the following update on:
