Joel Eric Carlson, 28, has already been charged in connection to the alleged sexual assault of a teenaged victim.

However, the North Okanagan RCMP, who are handling the investigation, believe that there are other potential victims of Carlson’s who have not reported him to the police.

Anyone who’s had contact with Carlson is asked to contact the North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171.

His initial charges of sexual assault and forcible confinement stemmed from an incident in August, where the 28-year-old connected his teenaged victim through social media.

He then allegedly portrayed himself as being younger than his actual age and convinced the victim to meet with him in person.

“Once the accused was alone with the victim, she was allegedly sexually assaulted,” explained Cpl. Tania Finn.

“Investigators believe there may be additional victims who have not already reported to the police.”

If you have any pertinent information about Carlson or any potential crimes he’s committed, you can also anonymously report tips to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477.
