Man in his 60s killed after crash on Hwy 97

A man has died after his pickup truck left the highway and crashed east of Falkland. 

He was ejected from his vehicle, which had failed to negotiate a curve along Hwy 97.

The crash occurred at about 5.35 am between Salmon River Road and Kneller Road.

DriveBC said there is currently a 20-minute delay for traffic.

The road is down to a single lane.

North Okanagan RCMP said the man was in his 60s. 

The BC Coroners Service and North Okanagan Traffic Services are investigating the cause of the crash. 

They are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
