Myrna Bowen and Savannah Walker have a special mother and daughter tradition where they sit on the porch, catch up on their days and enjoy the outdoors.

Recently, it was more than just a quiet night on the porch in Greenwood, as Walker decided to check the Set for Life scratch & win ticket that they had purchased together.

She scanned the ticket using the BCLC Lotto! app and realized that they’d won the $675,000 grand prize.

“We started to cry and hug on the patio,” explained Bowen.

The pair won more thousands of dollars than the amount of people in the town, as Greenwood has a population of just 665.

With the disposable income now in their pocket, they plan to look into the town’s real estate market.

“We’ve had our eye on a few properties in the area,” said Bowen. “Now we can put an offer on the place we really wanted.”

In addition, Walker has her sights set on a new vehicle.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Canco gas station in Greenwood.
