Motorcycle crash on Hwy97A claimed the life of 35-year-old Clearwater woman

A single vehicle collision on Highway 97A resulted in the death of a woman from Clearwater on Friday, say police.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP responded to the incident which happened near Grindrod at about 5 pm.

Police explain that the woman was travelling with a group of riders when her motorcycle unexpectedly lost control and she was ejected from her bike.

Despite life-saving efforts at the scene, the 35-year-old woman died of her injuries.

“On behalf of the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP, I would like to extend our deepest condolences to the deceased’s family and friends,” states Cst. Chris Terleski.
