Residents in the BC Interior should expect some smoky skies for the next couple of days.

Environment Canada is warning residents that regions of BC will be impacted by wildfire smoke over the next 24 to 48 hours.

"Smoke is currently beginning to dissipate across the western half of Vancouver Island," wrote EC. "Further improvements will continue across the province west to east with widespread improvement by Sunday. In the central portions of the province, smoke will be visible aloft with potential for light-moderate impacts at the surface."

The elderly, infants, children and people with weakened immune systems are most at-risk when it comes to air pollution.
