UPDATE: Missing 12-year-old boy found safe

(UPDATE: Dec. 4 @ 8:40 am) - Finn Lydon has been found.

The RCMP says the 12-year-old boy was found late Thursday night and is "safe and sound."

(Original story: Dec. 3 @ 7:45 pm) - The Slocan Lake RCMP is hoping the public can help them locate a missing 12-year-old boy from the small community of Winlaw.

According to police, Finn Lydon was last seen when he left home around 11:30 am on Thursday.

There’s nothing to indicate foul play at this time and it’s believed that Lydon is either still in the Slocan Valley region or possibly travelling towards Rossland.

Lydon is described as a 5’1” Caucasian boy with blonde hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a blue Santa Cruz hoodie, carrying a backpack with a red skateboard attached.

Anyone with information regarding the missing boy’s whereabouts is urged to contact their local police or the Slocan Lake RCMP at 250-358-2222.
