A Sicamous man is going viral after posting a short video on Facebook of a strange sighting on Shuswap Lake last weekend.

No, it’s not some sort of lake monster, but rather a man casually boating on the popular lake with the trailer still attached to the bottom of his vessel.

“I have definitely heard of some boat launch fails, but this one might just take all the f***ing cakes,” Rob Winder says in the video.

“Do you notice anything different about this boat? I guess he just f***ing doesn’t want to bother.”

Although most are having a laugh at the man’s expense and it’s certainly assumed that it’s a “boat launch fail,” as Winder says, that could potentially not be the case.

A few people have been quick to point out that some boaters will do this intentionally to get their trailer from one spot to another, like the boat launch to cabin, when it wouldn’t be easy to do on the road.

So don’t be so quick to judge, we don’t know this man’s situation, but it’s still something that you certainly don’t see every day!
