In this episode of Business Matters, presented by Valley First, a division of First West Credit Union, host Rob Cupello is joined by Darla Ariss and Sean White from Copper Brewing.

Owners Ariss and White connected during a wedding where they met and started discussing their similar backgrounds and interests. Ariss used to work in a winery, and White has been making beer since he was 18, after learning and acquiring equipment from his grandparents.

Copper Brewing opened in 2019 and since then, has grown rapidly and far quicker than both Ariss and White had expected.

They have created a warm, welcoming atmosphere at Copper Brewing, which White says resembles the feeling of walking into someone's living room.

Ariss and White have created a unique menu of beer flavours including peanut butter cookie dough stout, blueberry lemonade pilsner and blueberry milkshake IPA.

They also opened a breakfast restaurant in the building next door called Porter’s. They utilize this restaurant during the day to serve breakfast, and offer it as a venue in the evening for people to hold events.

White and Ariss describe their business partner unanimity and how they share similar goals and ideas, which is key to the efficiency of their business.

They are currently focusing on their business and anticipate the exciting future that lies ahead.
