In this episode of Business Matters, presented by Valley First, a division of First West Credit Union, host Rob Cupello is joined by Jeremy Cummins, Director of Business Development at Chez You.

Chez You was launched just two weeks ago and it’s already taking the Okanagan by storm.

The service connects local chefs with customers directly, so the chef can prepare food in your home for your next dinner party or prepare and cook a weekly meal plan for your household.

While the concept isn’t new, this direct way of connecting the two parties is unique in the Okanagan, and chefs are loving it.

“When they make this food in restaurants, they usually only hear about the negative things,” explains Cummins.

“Now they get to see the customer very excited, they get to make it in front of them, create menus every day and get to see the customer’s reaction to their craft.”

It gives chefs a break from cooking the same restaurant menu every day, and it gives locals a way to experience fine dining for a price comparable to dining out in their own homes – a win-win all around!
