Times are understandably tough for a lot of people who are either out of work or have had their hours cut back because of COVID-19.

While the government is offering some support for those people, there are also a few grocery stores around the province that are hiring temporary staff to deal with increased demand.

“The BuyLow Foods Group and Sobeys have both reached out to the BCRFA to indicate that they are in immediate need for temporary staff to help with processing shopping orders, replenishing shelves,” said a statement from BCRFA.

In the Central Okanagan, Nesters Market, Choices Markets and Nature’s Fare are all hiring.

Nature’s Fare is also hiring in Vernon, Penticton and Kamloops.
