British Columbia is reporting 609 new cases of COVID-19, this brings the total number of active cases to 4,748.
From the new/active cases of COVID-19 this is where they come from in each region:
- Fraser Health: 257 new cases (2,043 active)
- Northern Health: 126 new cases (804 active)
- Interior Health: 92 new cases (642 active)
- Vancouver Coastal Health: 79 new cases (676 active)
- Island Health: 55 new cases (524 active)
- No new cases of people who reside outside of Canada (59 active)
There are currently 422 people in hospital with 157 of those individuals in intensive care.

As of Oct. 26, Interior Health changed the primary source of COVID-19 hospitalization surveillance data. This change in data source will lead to a one-time increase in the number of ever and currently reported COVID-19 hospitalizations.
This change is retrospective to the beginning of the pandemic though it primarily affects cases reported since August 2021.
In the past 24 hours, six new deaths have been reported bringing the provincial pandemic death toll to 2,137.
Of the new deaths, five were reported in Fraser Health and one in Northern Health.
The outbreak at Sunset Manor in Fraser Health has been declared over, but an additional five new COVID-19 outbreaks have been discovered at healthcare facilities in Fraser Health. This brings the total number of active outbreaks to 32.

In the past week (Oct. 19-25) this is how cases broke down from unvaccinated to vaccinated:
- Not vaccinated: 2,377 (57.2%)
- Partially vaccinated: 287 (6.9%)
- Fully vaccinated: 1,489 (35.9%)
In the past two weeks (Oct. 12-25) this is how cases hospitalized broke down from unvaccinated to vaccinated:
- Not vaccinated: 306 (68.2%)
- Partially vaccinated: 30 (6.7%)
- Fully vaccinated: 113 (25.2%)
The province has administered 8,186,611 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine since December.
From the eligible people 12 and older in BC, 89.7% (4,157,816) have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 84.7% (3,925,937) received their second dose.
Of the eligible adults in BC, 90.1% (3,898,653) have received their first dose and 85.3% (3,690,208) received their second dose.
