BC health officials have confirmed a “community exposure event” at Vancouver’s Hotel Belmont and night club.

An alert has been issued for anyone who attended the popular music venue from June 27 to June 29.

“If you have been at one of these locations, monitor yourself for symptoms, limit your contact with others and contact 811 to arrange for testing if any symptoms develop,” said officials in a written statement

On Tuesday, the province also announced 12 new cases of the virus, including one epidemiologically (epi) linked case.

According to officials, an “epi-linked” case means that public health investigations have shown that cases meet the case definition for COVID-19 but may not have been tested for a number of reasons.

In future reports, new tested and epi-linked cases will be included as one number.
