Interior Health reports 43 new cases of COVID-19, active cases drop into 300s

The steady decline of active cases continues for Interior Health.

There were 43 new cases of COVID-19 identified in the BC Interior over the past 24 hours, which brings the region to 7,486 total cases since the start of the pandemic.

At this time, the telling story is the number of active cases for IH, which has steadily dropped in recent days and fell from 423 to 368 since Tuesday.

Hospitalizations continue to trend downwards as well, with just 17 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in the BC Interior and seven of them in intensive care.

There were no new deaths to report today, which means the region’s death roll remains at 104.
