British Columbia reported 149 new cases of COVID-19 today, but only 3% of them came from Interior Health.

The health authority reported just five new cases today, another positive day in the region.

Since the first case was diagnosed back in February, there’s been 520 total cases of COVID-19 across IH.

Currently, there’s no one in hospital for COVID-19 in the BC Interior, as the only person who was hospitalized was able to return home this week.

There’s only one current outbreak in the region, but there are no IH residents associated with it.

An exposure alert was issued on Wednesday for a Merritt pub, which you can learn more about here.
