Interior Health reports 60 new COVID-19 cases and a trio of deaths

Another 60 cases of COVID-19 were identified in the BC Interior over the past 24 hours.

It brings the region to 11,589 total cases since the start of the pandemic, with 488 currently active.

There are 21 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in the BC Interior and 10 of them are in critical care, as those numbers continue to trend down.

Unfortunately, there were three more deaths due to the virus over the past 24 hours, which brings Interior Health’s pandemic death toll up to 144.

The vaccination program continues to pick up steam all over BC, which was shown through 9,132 people receiving their vaccine in the BC Interior since Wednesday.
