Correction: A previous version of this article stated that you could book appointments through Andy Shen at the BC Pharmacy Association. This information has since been corrected as that is not the case. Sorry for the inconvenience.

People aged 55 to 65 in certain communities across BC will have the opportunity to be vaccinated ahead of schedule.

According to the BC Pharmacy Association, that specific age group can now book appointments to receive their first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine at select pharmacies across the province.

Multiple pharmacies in Kelowna, Kamloops, Prince George, and Victoria are listed as having a limited supply of the vaccine.

Those interested in booking an appointment are being directed to visit their local pharmacy's website and follow the prompts. If successful, you should receive a confirmation email from your chosen pharmacy location.

For those unable to book an appointment, all British Columbians aged 65+ and Indigenous peoples 18+ from across the province can now register for their vaccine appointment online, by phone, or in person.

As of Friday, BC has vaccinated over one million people with their first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca-SII COVID-19 vaccines.
