One day after SilverStar revealed an employee at the mountain tested positive for COVID-19, Sun Peaks has revealed the same.

Like the employee from SilverStar, the person in question at Sun Peaks also tested positive after returning home to Australia in the past week.

The individual was a Sports School instructor and lived in the Black Bear Lodge staff accommodation.

Their final day of work on the mountain was March 16 and they travelled home to Australia on March 19.

On March 24, their positive test was confirmed in Australia.

“Our hope is that these details will help you manage your healthcare during this challenging time,” said a statement from Sun Peaks.

Sun Peaks closed for the season due to COVID-19 on March 18.
