Vernon based company True Leaf has announced a retail distribution deal that will see its line of hemp products for pets land in stores across the world.

On Wednesday, at the Global Pet Expo, True Leaf announced the deal that will see its products on the shelves of 3,500 stores beginning April 1.

The company is marketing three new hemp-based products including Calming Support, Hip + Joint Support, and Everyday Omega, will be available at stores such as Pet Planet across Canada.

“As cannabis and hemp products continue to gain mainstream market momentum, our fully legal hemp-based formulas have caught the attention of pet retailers in North America and Europe,” said Darcy Bomford, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of True Leaf.

“Today’s announcement is a testament to the quality and care we put into our products for pets. When you shop at Pet Planet, you know the products you are buying are nutritious and meet premium quality standards.”

The company also recently completed its 18,000 sq.ft “campus central hub” in Lumby that will house the initial grow area, laboratory services and whole-plant extraction.

Depending on Health Canada’s timelines, True Leaf should have full approval to cultivate and produce cannabis by mid to late 2019.
