Okanagan Valley Ranked in Top 10 Places to Visit in Canada

The Okanagan just keeps raking in the accolades, with another article calling the Okanagan one of the best places to vacation.

Canadian Living has just named their top 10 Canadian destinations for travellers. The popular lifestyle magazine uses research from Expedia, one of the leading online travel providers in Canada. The Okanagan Valley is ranked number 10 by Canadian Living's, a strong contender in a list filled with Canada's biggest and most famous cities.

“Come for the amazing outdoors, the local food, or the region's award-winning wines—or all three!” writes Doug O'Neill for Canadian Living about the Okanagan.

The Okanagan was beat out by the biggest cities in Canada, plus a couple big tourist draws like Niagara Falls and Banff. Topping the list was Toronto, with B.C.'s own Vancouver sneaking in for second above Montreal.

The Okanagan has recently gotten a ton of recognition as a top tourist destination, with Troy Media naming Kelowna “a cool place for a mid-winter getaway” and the Aspen Times in Colorado calling Kelowna the “Next Big Thing” in travel.
