Lake Country Man Shot During Home Invasion

A Lake Country man is recovering in hospital after he was shot during a home invasion on Sunday night.

Lake Country RCMP received a report of a home invasion at 11:33 p.m. on October 4th in the 10000 block of Tyndall Road. Officers learned that two men entered the home with a gun and tied up a 61-year-old woman. A 65-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Members of the Forensic Identification Service and the RCMP Police Dog Service attended the scene but no suspects were located. RCMP says the investigation is ongoing and has not released any more details. It is unknown if this was a targeted home invasion.
