Man in Serious Condition after Altercation Outside Cactus Club

A man remains in hospital Thursday after an incident outside of the Cactus Club restaurant in Kelowna. 

Kelowna RCMP were called to the Banks Road Cactus Club just before 9:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the request of Emergency Health Services. 

When police arrived, emergency crews were already assisting the man who was in medical distress and was lying on the sidewalk outside of the restaurant. Police said the man had gone unconscious prior to emergency crews arriving. 

The man remains in serious condition in hospital Thursday. 

RCMP are continuing to investigate what took place at the restaurant and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the altercation to come forward.

Kelowna RCMP Cst. Jesse O’Donaghey said investigators suspect there may be additional witnesses who were at the Cactus Club at the time of the incident who have not yet spoken to police.
