After watching water creep into the campground for the past week, an evacuation order has now been issued for Tween Lakes Resort in Oyama.
All occupants of the RV park on the isthmus between Kalamalka and Wood lakes are being evacuated, with the exception of the park manager's residence.
"The channel is extremely high, we've lost our docks, probably our boat house, the beach is gone," said the Tween Lake's Manager and Care Taker, Malcolm Uttley.
"The water is still going up about 0.3 centimetres a day, but it is slowly stabilizing."
Tween Lake is taking flood protection measures but the resort is also asking the public to keep boats out of the Oyama channel and to avoid any wake around the resort.
"If boats go through the channel the wake comes in and pushes the sandbags over, which hurts our flood protection and all the work the volunteers are putting in."
According to Uttley, the resort moved seven trailers off the property when the flooding started to get bad and 85% of the boats that were docked at the resort.
Tween Lakes Resort is in need of pre-bagged sandbags for those looking to help out.
